Hey this is my first post hooray!
If your wondering why my blog is call improvised cooking it's because I make everything on the fly. Eventually I end up with a great recipe but not always. If your looking for original recipes then get ready for some great food! Don't worry I will only share the good recipes with you :)
Quick facts of my goals for this site:
- Provide Information on brands that provide great nutrition from my recipes
- Create Great Tasting Original Recipes that you will rave about ;)
- Support those who want to cook but don't know how to
My 1st Blog Recipe: Sun April 3rd, 11:22pm
Seasoning Mix:
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Olive Oil 1tbsp
- Ground Chicken (amount depends on how many chicken patties you want)
- Can substitute with turkey if you don't like chicken but I think chicken taste better
Utensils Needed:
- seasoning bowl or any type of bowl to put your seasonings into
- Pan to fry chicken
- Spatula to flip chicken
- 2 plates (one to place chicken on for seasoning and one to place cooked chicken on)
- Mix seasonings from "seasoning mix" all together in one bowl and stir until it is well mixed (thyme, garlic powder, oregano, parsley and salt).
- Make chicken size patties and place on plate
- sprinkle seasoning to your liking over chicken on both sides ( I usually add a thin layer... do not go over board as the seasoning mix has a lot of flavor)
- Heat pan up on medium heat (let it heat about 3mins) which is about the 3.5 mark on a fire stove. For electric I'm not sure because electric heats faster and hotter.
- Add Olive Oil to pan
- Add chicken and fry for about 5 to 7mins (Flipping every 60seconds) or until done. ( I usually fry it max 7mins because you get a balance of juice and guaranteed its cooked through.
And that's it your done and guess what? It's healthier than eating regular store bought sausage with heaps of grease!
I will try to get some photos ASAP so you can see how great chicken sausage is and how it can benefit you during your early morning rise.
